In the Battle version you have all of the characters without having to get all the emblems. Knuckles and Rouge's mode is a treasure hunt mode where they both must find three pieces of an object or three objects. Sonic and Shadow focus on the basic mode where they must reach the goal with their super speed, while dodging obstacles and defeating enemies along the way. The gameplay focuses on three modes with both Team Hero and Team Dark following these modes.
